About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Apprentice to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their accounting skills and gain valuable, hands-on experience in the finance sector. As an apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced accountants, receive practical training, and contribute to key accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in generating financial reports for internal and external purposes.
- Record Maintenance: Ensure all daily financial transactions are properly recorded.
- QuickBooks Online: Assist in using QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping, invoicing, and other financial tasks.
- General Administrative Support: Provide general office support as needed within the finance department.
Required Skills and Experience:
- English Proficiency: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Google Sheets Expertise: Strong ability to create, manage, and analyze financial data using Google Sheets.
- Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- QuickBooks Online: Practical experience with QuickBooks Online or a strong willingness to learn the system for financial management.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient with office software (Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, etc.) and comfortable adapting to new systems.
- Attention to Detail: Able to work with precision and accuracy, especially when dealing with financial data.
- Willingness to Learn: Passionate about developing a career in accounting and finance.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Google Sheets Expertise: Strong ability to create, manage, and analyze financial data using Google Sheets.
- AAT or Equivalent: Completion of the AAT qualification (or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Interest in Accounting: Coursework or prior experience in accounting, finance, or related fields is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Teamwork & Independence: Capable of working well both individually and as part of a team.
